Surgery for Peyronie's disease

There are more than twenty surgical techniques for correcting penile curvature but they can be grouped as follows:

1. Shortening of the penis on the opposite side of the plaque to correct the curvature. Some of them include simple plication, modified plication, Nesbit technique etc
2. Incisions in the plaque and placement of a patch made of a bio-compatible material.
3. Penile prosthesis implant and breakage of the plaque. Should only be done in patients with penile curvature and erectile dysfunction.
